The evil Queen soon found out that Snow White was still alive and she knew that she would have to take matters into her own hands.

The Queen fled to a dungeon hidden beneath the castle. There the Queen mixed a potion that changed her into an old hag. Then she took an apple and slowly dipped it into another potion...

Disguised as the old hag, the queen appeared at Snow White's window.
"All alone, my pet?," she said.
"Why... why, yes, I am, but..." replied Snow White.
"The... the little men are not here?" the Queen interrupted.
"No, they're not, but..."
"Mm-hmm. Baking pies?"
"Yes, gooseberry pie."
"It's apple pies that make the menfolks' mouths water. Pies made from apples like these."
"Oh, they do look delicious."
"Yes, but wait 'till you taste one, dearie. Like to try one? Go on. Go on, have a bite."
Then the Queen held the poisoned apple out to Snow White.

Disney Artist John Alvin captures this scene as the evil Queen offers Snow White the apple poisoned with "Sleeping Death" from the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
