Many believe Walt Disney's greatest achievement was this first full length animated feature released in 1937 of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It created a huge sensation and Walt received a special Oscar (a full size statuette with seven smaller statuettes) to commemorate the achievement. So it inly seemed natural to have legendary Disney Fine Arts artist Harrison Ellenshaw recreate the "happily ever after" in this painting.
